With the advent of surveillance technology becoming more prevalent, a focus on alternatives is a necessity. While I'm sure Discord isn't the worst offender, moving towards longer lasting and better solutions is important. As such, I have personally permanently moved to Matrix as my main platform for socials.

GitHub is a decent enough platform to get community development started.

However, development of public projects should separate from the corporate umbrella.

As such, I keep personal mirrors to the projects I personally use.

Additionally, there's also intention to be part of a federated version of Git entirely.
